The world feels loud right now — chaotic, reactive, constantly in motion.
There’s so much noise, so many opinions, and so much emotional charge moving through the collective that it can leave even the most grounded among us feeling overstimulated and anxious.
In times like these, conserving your energy and pulling yourself inward might seem like you’re avoiding but honestly it can be a necessity.
Knowing when to step back from the noise is an important part of self-care.
Solid daily routines — ones that take care of you emotionally, mentally, spiritually, and physically — are important right now to create a strong foundation within and around you.
When the world feels unstable, tending to the simple things — cooking, cleaning, walking, breathing, journaling, resting — becomes the best medicine.
These everyday rituals reconnect you to your natural rhythm, to your body, to soul and help you get clear on what’s real; what’s true; what’s important to focus on and what’s not.
Cultivating a simple life for a while may not be all exciting and glamorous, but it will hold your energy clear, steady and strong… which is what we all need to be, to navigate the next couple of years.
When the collective is in chaos, stillness becomes your point of power.
Become aware of the parts of you that might be addicted to drama, stuck in trauma, needs action, validation, significance or constant movement or excitement.
If you’ve been in a period of “Quiet Years” there may be moments of doubt where you question….
“Am I going to miss out”
“Am I falling behind”
My advice if you’re in it or feel like you need to pull your energy back, is to trust this time will help build your inner strength and integrate everything you’ve been through.
I think we all need to be aware of how much we “chase” and “push” and understand how much strength and beauty there is in the mundane, simple routines.
Simple routines that hold you steady when nothing feels certain.
Cooking, cleaning, tending to your home, walking, resting — the things that might seem boring are often the very things that rebuild your nervous system and anchor your spirit.
For those of us who’ve lived through trauma or chaos, we’re used to life feeling big — dramatic, intense, constantly changing.
When things go quiet, it can feel foreign.
We start craving “something big” again — not realising that sometimes it’s just our nervous system seeking what’s familiar or a need for significance or the familiar rush of survival.
We all need to let our systems learn peace; adjust our energetic frequencies to calm and peace and then let this energy ripple out to the collective. It all starts within each of us.
So, if you’re in a quiet season right now, or this post helps you recognise you might need to start, trust it.
You won’t go off path.
The stillness is sacred.
The mundane is medicine.
And peace is where your power truly returns.
Let’s all get truly powerful from within
Love Bec
